Welcome to The Coalfields Community Challenge
The Coalfields Regeneration Trust is delighted to invite would be entrepreneurs to enter the Coalfields Community Challenge, and be in with the chance of pitching for a share of our £50,000 awards fund.
This is the third year in a row that the Trust has run its highly successful Coalfields Community Challenge which has helped create over a dozen new jobs in former mining areas through supporting a wide range of social enterprises.
The Coalfields Community Challenge is open to new and emerging social entrepreneurs working or living within former coalmining communities who have ambitions to start and grow a social enterprise creating new employment opportunities but who need business support.
The Coalfields Community Challenge provides a unique combination of business development support, mentoring and training over six months plus the opportunity to pitch to the Dragon’s Pit at the end of our Programme to win a share of £50,000 to help kick start your social enterprise. Further subsequent awards will be available.
We are looking for new ideas no matter how big or small, we want imaginative and practical ideas that will result in creating jobs for people and generate an income to keep the business sustainable.
But if you want to enter, you will have to move fast. The closing date for entries is Friday 24th May 2013.
